The work is a response to otherness, how we perceive and are perceived. It examines a particular stage in life, the teenage years where we become more aware of our surroundings and relation to them, a less insular period than early childhood. A identity is emerging, while still transient it is been shaped by the momentum of events around us. The contrasting awareness of an simultaneous inner and outer world is a forceful time in forming a self.
